Head of the Trent

A head race is a time trial rowing race. Competitors take off from the start line one at a time and the winners are determined by who rowed the fastest, not who crossed the finish line first. Visit regattacentral.com for up-to-the-minute results.

The course for the Head of the Trent Regatta has been modified to account for the ongoing revitalization of the Faryon Bridge. The scenic route along the Trent-Severn Canal remains mostly the same, but the finish line has been moved just before the Bata Library turn, shortening the course to 4.7 km from 5 km.

With the Otonabee River running through campus, there are many prime regatta viewing locations to cheer on the Trent and Peterborough rowing club athletes along the Founders Walk on the West Bank of the Symons Campus. With the ongoing revitalization of the Faryon Bridge, spectators can watch the races and cheer on Excalibur rowers from the new finish line and viewing area, located just behind the Student Centre.

Visit regattacentral.com for up-to-date regatta results. Look for the QR code on signs around campus to access quickly from your phone.
