Return to the River

Head of the Trent is one of Trent University’s longest-standing traditions, bringing thousands of alumni, students, rowers, and community members together each year for a vibrant weekend of celebration on the banks of the Otonabee River. From thrilling races and riverfront activities to alumni events and family-friendly fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

No other regatta can compare to HOTT’s atmosphere and that’s all thanks to our Trent community. There’s nothing like racing through the canal with both sides packed with your friends and family. It's electric.

As a Trent rower, HOTT is special to me as it creates a sense of community and pride unlike any other regatta. Not just because we race on our home course, but because of the incredible people that come to compete and support - from friends, family, and alumni to students and rowers from all over Canada.
