Your @alumni.trentu.ca email helps you stay connected to the Trent community. Whether you’re applying for jobs, networking, or staying in touch, your alumni email account offers a secure way to communicate.
About Your Alumni Email Account
Trent Alumni email accounts are hosted on Microsoft Outlook 365, providing secure, professional communication tools with cloud-based access. Alumni email accounts remain active unless there is a 15-month period of inactivity.
By using your alumni email, you agree to Trent University's IT policies.
Note, your email account is different than your myTrent account. For more information about myTrent accounts, visit the myTrent Accounts & Portal Access page.
Accessing your Alumni Email Account
Alumni Who Graduated on or Before August 20, 2025
Your email account has been migrated from Google to Outlook. Please complete the set-up to start using your alumni email.
Notes:
- Undergraduate alumni accounts migrated before 2024: email forwarding from your @trentu.ca student account ends July 2026
- Graduate-level alumni: Email forwarding is available indefinitely
Alumni Who Graduated After August 20, 2025
You will continue to use your Microsoft 365 student account until further notice.
New to Alumni Email?
If you if you don't already have a Trent alumni email, you can request an account today (see below).
Request an Alumni Email Account
If you have not used a Trent email account since your graduation and would like a Trent alumni email address, a new account can bet set-up for you. Please contact the Advancement Services team for assistance:
- Call 1-866-449-0072 and leave a detailed voicemail (include your full name and daytime phone number), or
- Email advancementservices@trentu.ca with your full name and daytime phone number
Once your account is active, follow these steps to set up Microsoft Outlook on your personal device.
Need Help?
If you’re having trouble logging in, start by resetting your password.
To reactivate a lapsed account (after 15 months of inactivity), contact the Advancement Services team for assistance.
If you have migrated your email account from Google to Microsoft and are having trouble, please contact the Trent University IT Department for assistance.
