Trent University’s 10th annual Last Lecture on Tuesday, April 7, brings the community together to celebrate and reflect on the student experience. This year’s alumni speaker, Stephen Stohn ’66, will deliver a special address as he prepares to conclude his term as Chancellor. A distinguished leader in Canadian media and a proud Trent alumnus, Stephen’s remarkable career and deep connection to the University promise an inspiring and memorable talk. His presence offers a unique opportunity to thank him for his exceptional service and lasting impact on the Trent community. Join us for this meaningful celebration and send-off.

Student speaker: Kevin Santos  
Kevin is a fourth-year Biomedical Sciences student whose leadership, service, and community engagement have left a lasting mark on Trent, seamlessly connecting academics, wellness, and belonging. 

Faculty speaker: Jack Hoggarth
Jack Hoggarth is the Chair of Anishinaabe Knowledge and an Assistant Professor whose work bridges academic scholarship with lived Anishinaabeg teachings, grounded in deep connection to his home communities. 

Staff speaker: Melanie Buddle
As Principal of Peter Gzowski College and an interdisciplinary educator, she has shaped student success at Trent through her commitment to academic leadership, cocurricular learning, and creating meaningful, supportive educational experiences.
