2026 Trent University Alumni Awards
Each year, the Trent Alumni Awards honour graduates whose journeys inspire pride and connection - and whose contributions continue to shape the world beyond our campus.
Nominations are now open. Submit before June 30.
Nominate a Trent alumni whose achievements deserve to be recognized and celebrated. Your nomination helps ensure that the alumni who define Trent’s values celebrated and remembered.
Follow the three steps below to submit your nomination.
Review the terms of reference, including award categories and eligibility criteria, to confirm the nominee qualifies and is submitted in the correct category.
Prepare
Prepare a strong nomination by outlining the nominee’s achievements, leadership, and impact. You may also gather up to two optional letters of support.
Complete the online nomination form with a detailed nomination statement. Ensure all requirements are met, including two nominators, and submit before the deadline.
Alumni Award Categories
Distinguished Alumni Award
Presented in recognition of a person's achievement and leadership in their field, and for bringing honour to Trent University through their endeavours. Recipients show leadership in business, industry, a profession, or in public life. Their vision, commitment, creativity, and leadership are recognized within their field or beyond it.
Spirit of Trent Award
Presented to alumni who make a difference through contributions to the University or their community. The nominees should continue to demonstrate the values and lessons learned at Trent, such as the importance of being outwardly focused, using creative thinking skills, or being a community builder.
Young Leader Award
Recognizes young alumni who show outstanding leadership throughout their first 10 years of alumni status and are 35 years of age or younger. Their accomplishments focus on their professional career, public work, or humanitarian service.
Paul Delaney Award for Outstanding Young Philanthropist
Recognizes a student or a recent graduate whose philanthropic leadership makes them an outstanding model for Trent students to emulate. Their work reverberates across cultural, religious, and/or generational boundaries.
